Actually truck & marine engines got 2 1bls. Anyone got an idea what CFM the 1 bls are? Edmonds made the 2X2 aftermarlet intakes.

 

Does any one know WHY that they only made a few of them and theres many more 4/2 manifolds some of the olds timers will know

 

The answer is very simple, with 4 carbs you run 2 and the progressive linkage kicks in the second pair at 3/4 throttle = this lets the motor run with a good CFM volume at part throttle and a big boost when the second pair comes in. Read my earlier posts about running just 3, do it wrong and there's trouble in paradise

 

Yep Im running them all non-progressive. 2 will keep their choke. They will all Be slightly jetted for altitude, and the "power valve" will be slightly bigger on them all.

 

Very nice! I'm a real sucker for Hemi intakes, make that Hemi anything.

I just found a Weiand WC3D intake. It uses the 4 bolt carbs. (Rochesters)
I just threw it on flea bay. It looks to be a unused intake. I realize this thread is 10 years old but maybe there’s someone on here still looking for one.
