Technical 1951 Hood Latch issues

I am trying to determine what parts I am missing between the hood on my 51 Ford PU and the part on the top the the grill shell that it bolts to . I have determined that I am missing a spring on the top front of the part that is on the top of the grill shell see photo 1 but I also seem to be missing something on the top front of the hood. I have a part see photo 2 that I think broke off ?? but not sure. Can some one tale some photo's of their truck so I can see what the proper arrangement is ? Many thanks Tom

I think the 2nd picture is the secondary latch(broken)missing the part you would squeeze to release after initial release wag
