Not sure if any of mine truly are.
The first that would pas the year cut off was back in 77 or so with a 62 Nova II. 327 four speed narrow Pontiac rear end with spool and Cragar SS wheels. More of a street race car. :)

  5. My first H.A.M.B. friendly car was also my first car, a 1939 Ford Std Coupe, purchased in 1958. I loved that car, and got my license on that little beauty.

I'm another old guy that had all HAMB friendly cars until I bought a new 68 Z28 Camaro! Oh my first car was a 49 Olds that I bought out of a junk yard with bad trans and they included a used Hydromatic that weighed a ton, which i proceeded to change in the driveway with the help of a few friends.

My first one at the age of 6 (had to drive to school) was a 50 Commer ute, flat head 4. Long succession of 57 to 64 holdens after that until I went "modern" with a 65 HR Holden.

    My first car, a 55 Chevy 210, that I bought in 1977. Here's a photo from 1979.

I still own it, today. Here's a video link from this year's Glory Days Drag Meet, in Byron ILL.

my first was this 1929 Ford cabriolet. I got it in 1958-59 added dropped axle, hydraulic brakes, Mercury wheels, 5.60s and 8.20s, Bell steering wheel, paint, upholstery, and chrome. It was my high school car, but it is a lot nicer now, but in large part much the same look.

When I was 12 I sold my go kart in 1961 and bought my 1934 Ford from the original owner for $90. The following year I bought a 1953 engine with 3 dueces for $35. I guess prices have gone up a little since then. 20201015_111310.jpg

  16. When I bought my first car in 1965 everything was HAMB friendly except for a few Mustangs and GTOs.
My ride was a tri five.

  18. 1954 Victoria. In 1989 I was 19, and went with a friend to a car show at the Don Garlits Museum. It was sitting on a trailer with a for sale sign and I fell in love with it. I talked about it non-stop for 3 days until my poor father could stand no more, and he took me to the bank and co-signed a loan so I could by it. Now that's a good Dad! This is the day it came home. missvicky3.jpg missvicky3.jpg

My first was a $ 75.00 - 49 Studebaker Pickup , flathead 6 used more oil than gas , Simas Bros. Stations sold bulk oil @ 29 cents a qt. in glass bottles , My Dad had a Body Shop , We did some work on a 32 Vicky for Ed Hegarty @ Deal Auto Wrecking , he gave me an engine/trans from a burned 56 Olds with a Distributor and Carb to fix it . that old red pickup had 456 gears and would leap off the line , was a sleeper ( no pic )
