I am looking for either of the vehicles here. One is a 1947 Canadian Mercury. I don’t remember much about it, or have much information beyond the photos, the fact that it was sold or traded in the mid 2000’s either in Southern Michigan or at Hershey, PA. The owner at the time was Harry Tubbs, my great-grandfather. He owned that car for at least 10 years before that and it was one of his favorites. The other I don’t have photos of, but it was a two tone blue 1955 Oldsmobile. He happened to have a copy of an old title for the car that is all the information I have on it, beyond it was a car he greatly regretted selling. He is 83, and between Parkinson’s and other problems he can’t drive. His health isn’t all that great, so I would like to try and track down one of these cars and arraign things with the current owner so he could see one again and possibly go for a ride in it. Any help would be appreciated.

That car has had titles issued since then. I think the forum moderators probably will permit it in this case

$1.07 will here. Still hunting around though, willing to settle for a “close enough”at this point.

My great grandad died about an hour ago. Covid and being locked in a nursing home the last 9 months did him in. It still feels a bit numb, like it hasn’t really happened still. Remembered I’d asked if anyone had seen either of these cars a few years back and it felt like the right time to try another shot in the dark, if only because if they have a funeral I probably won’t be able to go since it would be in Michigan and I would love some sort of closure at least. I’m gonna miss him, wish he’d been in a clearer state of mind the last 5 years than he had been so we could’ve shared more of this hobby together. 7D020278-6864-40BA-AF19-B1C3D9AED3BA.jpeg
