Years ago, I bought an old, dual point, Accel distributor that was missing both of the cap hold-down straps. Wrote a letter to Accel inquiring about availability, and they sent me some new straps, the brackets they attach to, and the fasteners, ALL FOR FREE!!! Mallory also use similar hold-down straps, as does the old dual point Chevrolet V-8 distributors (the ones BEFORE the access window). I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
Looks like a Delco distributor from the early to mid 30's would work for you. I recently swapped one from a Buick distributor to a Packard one. Good luck. Tom
Any Chevy 6 cyl. distributor cap clips will work from at least '47 to '62. Here is a link to one source, selling it for $4.95. https://www.classicparts.com/1947-6...rllYN2-JvHOUntsP-cOMurf_V8rmydAxoCcegQAvD_BwE
