I thought I would add my 2 cents. I have posted these pics elsewhere on the HAMB.

I've built a number of "normal" hot rods over the years...but a few were kinda non-homogenized:eek:

Channeled and shortened '40 pickup with '37 pass. front sheetmetal. 37a.jpg 37c.jpg

'39 pickup with modified '36 pickup grille (hated that '39 grille). rod2.jpg

...and of course my old Sedan Deliv., built from a 4 door.

See Jack it's contagious...;)...you're a natural when it comes to mixing it up...the 37 nosed 40 and the 39/36 combo heck even the 4dr SD all work as they are complmentary body styles IE... Fat fendered to Fat fendered...;)

It is interesting how certain Car Companies used Auto grilles on their Truck lines...

The original B & W of this shot appeared in another Thread recently and I found this version colorized by Chop...top Mark's from me on that...

I was actually looking for the modern takeoff of this with everyone aged and beer bellied...:D

Post #2578. Is it possible that the 28/29 roadster on the right is Fred Larson’s? Front end looks so similar. Friction shocks, bobbed frame ends, stance, etc. just thinking......

Well @Part Timer I take great appreciation in you and many others for digging into this most interesting Thread...it was a challenge to find that post but each post has a number and that was helpful...Page 86 it was...next time you might select reply when logged in and it brings the post up to the forefront...

Anyways I'm again always in appreciation of interest any way we slice it...

Now I will say that is one iconic shot...the Hotrod to the left is Jimmy Summers I believe even though in the graininess I see a V in the Front bumper for Fred Vogel but it may in fact be Fred I can't find a pic of him...sure looks like Jimmy

...Now Fred Larson's Hotrod, I think you nailed that...pretty cool Hotrod and it has those V Shaped Hairpins...the rad area has that very obvious shallow radiator obvious as well...

The story in Kustomrama mentioned he had 2 29s but I believe he finished it off and to me the biggest clue is that gas filler on the driver side quarter...those cool Hairpinlike bones are pretty obvious in these pics as well...

   ...Trunk row seats I see...:D

Actually he's standing behind...upon squinting inspection I can see a Helmeted driver in pretty much standard seating location...It's hard to believe with all that engine in there he isn't in the trunk...
