    Hello,

If it weren’t for the fact that we live in So Cal and the Reath Automotive Model A sedan is the first introduction to the Altered Class at Lion’s Dragstrip. We could hear the white Model A sedan before we saw it in the pits. Then on several runs, it set the tone for a fast Altered Sedan. As we got older and we began to see other Model A sedans in competition via Drag News or the Hot Rod magazines, we became aware of other race cars that look as mean as they run.

The Terry Frost Model A BB/Fuel Altered Sedan

This Model A sedan has all of the things necessary to be a fast, competitive Altered Sedan. If looks could kill, there would be plenty of carnage. It just looks fast sitting around.

“And who’s the man responsible for this bright red strip and show terror? That would be Terry Frost, a diehard hot rodder from Spokane, Washington, with an innate eye for what works. Either way, here’s Frost’s Ford in all its black and white glory. Imagine it whatever color you like—because not matter what you pick, it’s still the best Model A drag sedan ever built.”

It would have been a sight to see both of these two modified, Altered Sedans race against each other during those early times in drag racing.

  13. Good morning, Great FAS. I'm having some friends here on Saturday afternoon for a little garage crawl. If any HAMB'ers would like to come, you would be more than welcome. Just send me a PM for directions. It'd be a good day for a cruise though the valley.:) Ron.... 20181103_192825.jpeg 20201016_092018.jpeg 20191103_102143.jpeg

    Hello,
It is nice that there are people that want to start a thread. Your starting time is unusual, but who cares? There is a time difference, but again, who cares. The Friday Art is a way to express hot rod art. That is the basis of the thread. The whole thread has gone from actual drawings and art to an over abundance of copied photos. To some that is fine, but there are so many HAMB threads that are jammed up with copied photos that it gets old fast. There are some that are copied from another person's thread, thinking that is ok.

Friday Art should be original art. It is enjoyable to see art from back in hot rod history. @hotrodjack33 has some cool stuff. It is not copied art, but his historical art from way back. But, we should just try to get along and not get the pants pulled up in places we don't want to see or feel. Remember the "giving credit to a photo or art work" posts?

If there is an official starting time, which there isn't, just post it and see how it goes. Just contribute some original art and not internet copied photos. As long as the thread is there, it is not being banned, and we all contribute to it as nicely as possible, without too many copied internet photos, then it is all good.

  15. The unofficial starting time was around 10:45- 11: 30 pm Thurs Chicago/midwest time, if I remember. That's ten years ago.
If my/any thread is gonna be ignored, then as of now, if it's OK, I'm leavin' Bob or whoever to start it each week.

I had eye surgery two weeks ago. Enjoying not wearing glassed for the first time in 50 years. I may have to relearn my painting process. Now I have to wear cheaters for close up work and my patience runs thin. Just saying....enjoy your art while you can. Things can change at the drop of the hat. Tonight I will sit down a give it another try. Great Friday Art Show. Gary

I am no artist, but I was gifted this piece by @zeke1270. 1shot enamel I think? On metal. If you look closely at the windshield you can see my sunglasses and my grandson on the passenger side. My grandson is my wandering copilot. Truly a special gift. 9AB7E90B-C5AD-4821-9023-4C9C430D0083.jpeg
