i almost forgot about them

 

I have used several stickers like that, that I didn't want to "waste", by putting a small dab of silicone on the back paper, then "glueing" it where ever you want it. It pulls off easily later and the silicone peels off the paper with no trace.

I would LOVE to get my mitts on a couple of those orange Styrofoam antenna balls! - one to use and one to keep.

Last night, a really generous and gracious HAMBer, @Fordors sent me a message saying he had a couple that he would send to me! I absolutely love the community here on the HAMB! An amazing gathering of people with a common interest, sharing their time, knowledge, humor, and lives with one another.

Last week I agreed to sell my Daddy's old Pure Oil service station that he opened and began operating in March of 1955. Yep, I've got one or two of those antenna balls around here somewhere. I saw and learned so much there.
Time marches on but I'll forever have some great memories of the time spent there.
My Daddy painted my first hot rod in that building on July 2, 1974; our car club, the Portsmouth Street Rod Association, was formed the following evening at it's first meeting that was held at my house. We had five guys; four of us had running, licensed hot rods... the newest being a 1940 Ford coupe. Our club continues today with about 20 guys with many more pre-1948 cars and trucks!

 

I remember dad taking me to the local BP station back in '69 to get a free 3d paper cutout of the Apollo 11 lunar lander.... This was in N.S.W. Australia....
