    I've owned my 3W since 1982. I bought the body from Stan Beringhele at the Pomona swap meet and mounted it on my chassis. It was wrecked in 1999 and with Stan's help it was rebuilt and chopped. No body tag and Stan told me it had been an old jalopy when he got it. The A pillars were bolted to the doors and the wood was missing from the roof. Without his help I would never have finished the rebuild. RIP Stan IMG_0448 2.jpg

    My tag has been thru hell. I believe the first digit is a 5. I can read the rest 003. So I am going with mine as 5003. The hole has cut off the top half of the first digit. It could be the bottom of a 3, 5 6 or 8. I believe it is a 5. It would take forensic work at the FBI to really know or if someone shows up with 3003, 5003 , 6003 or 8003 we could by process of elimination narrow it down maybe. If you don't want to add mine to the registry you will not hurt my feelings.

    Hi Bob, I'm seeing some close but no consecutive numbers unless I just missed it. I haven't kept track of owners, just numbers, so no chance of me reuniting any of them, plus this list has accumulated over 11 years so I'm sure some have now changed hands!

    Last year I sold a 1911 Hupmobile, the new owner found another owned by a guy 45 minutes away from him. The two cars are separated by one other car. Always find the numbers deals interesting. Bob
