Hello, I'm new to the board, and need help identifying an old paxton and finding its value for a friend, it spins free , but the housing bolts were loose , so I pulled it apart no evidence of any interference, but it needs a good cleaning and gaskets, looks like the ID tag has been removed, and I can't find any stamped markings. Thanks in advance, Mike Attached Files: a" style="margin: 0px; padding: 10px 10px 0px; list-style: none; overflow: hidden; zoom: 1; background: url("styles/hamb/xenforo/gradients/category-23px-light.png") center top repeat-x rgb(246, 246, 246); border-radius: 5px;"> IMG_20201031_110825213.jpg File size: 117.2 KB Views: 9 IMG_20201031_110812248.jpg File size: 136.2 KB Views: 9 IMG_20201031_110756150.jpg File size: 146.9 KB Views: 9 IMG_20201031_110719234.jpg File size: 126.4 KB Views: 9 IMG_20201031_110705435.jpg File size: 109.2 KB Views: 9 IMG_20201031_110658963.jpg File size: 142.3 KB
Looks a lot like a VR 57 from the F code 57 Ford's. Paxton/McCullogh sold those for other cars in later years and it's probably one of those. Might find something here, but this site is pretty inactive. I think they made a 58 series also, but I'm only familiar with the Ford version. http://vs57.y-block.info/ Only picture I've got of the spare VR in storage.
The base looks odd to me, like it is for a different application, maybe industrial. I don’t recall ever seeing mounting bosses or a sight glass like that on a Paxton.
That is definitely an industrial blower. Paxton still makes them. You should ask them what it is and then list it on ebay. Here is a link to the Paxton website: https://www.paxtonproducts.com/products
