  1. Just one of my all-time favorite images. Junior Johnson posed in front of one of his many '40 Fords. Rest in Peace, Junior, you are missed. thumbnail (6).jpg

  4. Not sure who took this image, but I love it. Could be another tribute to Junior Johnson. facebook_1521147516627.jpg

.........Oh Yeah, that's classic! It's difficult to take your eyes off of the carnage, but look at the driver's posture. I'm guessing he is saying, "What the Hell Just Happened and do I still have my feet!!?"

This shot always makes me smile. We have the old timer explaining
the classes to "kids". This was a show that catered to antiques and
classics in St. Charles, Illinois. As time went on the organizers had
to contend with all sorts of entries. Kind of a shame really. It was
taken over by musclecars and the show lost a bit of the innocence
of the old days. I took this in 1972 or '73.

  19. Not finding the 1950 build in my grandpa's shop but these about 1957 pics outside pop's and my uncle's shop always make me feel I was there - and I was in Sacramento in 1957 but I was not yet a year old. Never knew about these until after I was on my third flathead resurrection and had acquired my 1932 frame for a roadster build. roadster 1956 in front of shop with guys grandpa's 35 chevy.jpg roadster 1956 in front of shop.jpg

...I have many...I snap random pics all the time and when I toss the Ole pic on the desktop some stand out...this was one from a couple of weeks ago...I do feel very fortunate to be able to be able to partake in this simple moment...then hop in and on to the journey that always brings an escape to 1963...;)

Such an iconic ride in a look it was not as well known for...these captures also give me pause to revere the ones who were able to snap that moment, cement that second in time for generations later to find joy in and it always brings thoughts of how life just continues to move forward...
