I know it's not super cool..but I bought this wagon in 1991 when I was 13 for $650. Next year will be 30 years and nearly 3/4 of my life.

Bought this one back in 1977 for $500. Purchased from the original owner from the west side of Chicago. It had about 30k miles on it. Saved it while buying and selling hundreds of other Corvairs. This past June it suffered a very short but very expensive engine fire. Hagerty Insurance took care of the loss in fine fashion. Car has been repaired and repainted and should see the road again next Spring. Now showing 60k miles and ready for more! DSCN2087.JPG DSCN2088.JPG

My dad bought this new, turned it over to me when I was 16, signed titled over when I was 18, so about 41 years in my name. Rolled it out of the shop in the spring to work on my kids car, pandemic hits. Work gets crazy. Now I need to hustle to get her car on the road, get the ‘57 back in the shop and put the parts on I bought the past month for it. Lol. Time and money. Used to not have money, now no time!!

I got my 34 Ford 5 window as a basket case in the late 70's. Got it on the road around 85. Now have close to 80K on the clock. Many years & many miles.
