Is that in New Orleans on Bourbon Street? looks like where we stayed in 1995.

  2. It is in New Orleans but I'm not sure of the exact location.

This is the Pontalbo building located on the corner of St Ann Street and Decatur Street. Cafe du Monde is across Decatur Street (right side of the picture) and Jackson Square is across St Ann Street (left side of picture). It is New Orleans, I grew up there.

Nah, that's my new one Horace-power engine! Runs on cheeseburgers and root beer.

I understand the circus is looking for a new person to do this job. The applicant needs to be of the right calibre of course.

A young and very thin, A.J. Foyt after one of his wins at Pan American Speedway in San Antonio, Texas![IMG]Speak of a powerhouse trio! Legendary promoter and car owner, J.C. Agajanian. Patriarch of the Bettenhausen family, Tony Bettenhausen and A.J. Foyt. This probably is 1958 as AJ has the number 29 on his uniform. The number he carried as a rookie at Indianapolis in 1958.[IMG]An early photo of Don and Mel Kenyon(Mel still has all his fingers) working on their midget. The engine is all things, a Ford Ferguson four-cylinder tractor engine with an overhead valve head[IMG]

A grin on his grease-covered face, goggles off, Rodger Ward happily takes a victory lap after winning the 1959 Indianapolis 500. There was a time when he wondered if he'd ever drive a race car again. Following his involvement in the Vukovich accident in 1955, Rodger sat in a grandstand all night, contemplating his future. He decided to go on.[IMG]A closeup study of Bill Vukovich at speed during the 1955 Indianapolis 500. Complete focus and concentration. Before he encountered his tragic lap 55 accident, he'd already lapped the field up to seventh place.[IMG]Socializing at the Brickyard! A group gathers in Chuck Stevenson's garage at Indianapolis in 1961.
From the left: Lloyd Ruby, unknown, Chuck Stevenson, Cactus Jack Turner, "Caveman" Bob Christie, and Johnny Boyd. Chuck qualified the Metal-Cal special 28th, and raced it to a 6th place finish[IMG]
