Hot Rods XO/PP Bonneville project

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by john mullen, Dec 28, 2017.

  1. Yes i do expect to pay my dues and in every format of racing I have been involved there is a learning curve. I know that it would not be easy to record in this class but its not just that its the journey to get there that is most rewarding. The people the travel the friendships and the challenges are what keeps us ever digging to go foward..

  2. 20201010_093816.jpg paying it foward, the team tutoring young Scott some mechanical skills. Scott really got schooled on many things automotive

  3. Thank you Bill Reid for supporting the XO/PP 640
with your Tee Shirt purchase. You are most appreciated. Your shirt is on its way.
    Thank You, Team 640

  10. Just wanted to put this out there.
    Funding for the Virginia
H.A.M.B. Special have been as follows
About 5 persent comes from Tee shirt Sales.
10 persent came from Sponsors in the form of parts.
Another 5 persent has been from donations from people who just wanted to be a part of this amazing journey.
The rest comes from my own pocket along with the labor and limited monetary support from the 640 crew.
So Tee Shirt Sales really help out.
Take note I'm not complaining as I will do what ever it takes to return to Bonneville in 2021.
So if you would like Tee Shirts send a note with sizes and a check for $20.00 per shirt to

  16. As thing have began to come together for the trucks repairs I look back on this journey with amazement.
Our goal is and always has been to set a new record in XO/PP class. However I must say in looking back that I find the journey has become the most gratifying to me. Its the memory's of new found friendships, the support, the interest shown by others with there encouragements that have become the heart of this amazing journey.
Thank you all for being a part of my dream..

  19. Hey John, it was my pleasure, I like to think there might be hose clamp or safety wire on that rig that I contributed to. Making a grassroots attempt like you guys are doing is every guys dream, and I wish you well. I'll be watching.

  27. Just thought I would mention this ..
I have kept every letter that has been sent to me in a folder along with the storys that they share with me about how much they enjoy following the 640 project.
So many of there storys tell me that they are not able to attend Bonneville because of disabilities or time restraints among many other reasons. But have ether purchased Tee Shirts or just donated money to help team 640 continue on this journey.
We hope they continue to enjoy the journey with us.
Thank you everyone.. feel free to wright me with your storys.
    thanks
