Before I just get made fun of in the comments, I'm sure there are tons of threads like this. I'm not just throwing this out here because I don't feel like doing my own research. I've spent a decent amount of time researching VIN/Cowl Tag decoders, reading through forums, even checking on social media for any sort of insight. I've gotten most of the information, but there's still some stuff that I can't find information on. Here's my cowl tag (the picture will also be included but it can be difficult to read): "CHEVROLET DIV. GENERAL MOTORS CORP. 1B DETROIT, MICHIGAN STYLE: 64-1447 BODY BW 5*** TRIM 831B PAINT FFA912 ACC. 491" So, my main questions are what is the meaning behind the "FFA" and "491"? I censored the "5***" because from my understanding it's some sort of production/serial number. To prove I'm not just posting this out of laziness, here's the information I have found: "1B" built on second week of January "64-1447" 1964 Impala SS V8 "BW" Wilmington, Delaware "5***" serial number "831B" Blue Super Sport Bucket seat interior with full factory console "FFA" 283 with a powerglide??? "912" silver blue "491" ??? Feel free to correct any information that you feel is inaccurate, confirm if my hunch on the meaning of "FFA" is right, or inform me of what "FFA" and "491" represent. Thank you in advance.
Thanks for the help! Not questioning your correctness, but I'm curious what your source is? I'd like to read up on it more so I can know for future reference without having to ask again.

Ah, a Chevrolet forum, that's how it slipped past me. Thank you though, and I'll definitely check it out more.
