Technical Anybody ever see this Model A head before?

We got an old engine the other day & it had this head on in. I've never seen one marked Model A on it before. Is it an early one or something later? Any help would be appreciated.

After market, possibly Sears, Montgomery Ward, Bennie's (if they were around), maybe JC Whitney.

Aftermarket is my guess. the inside looks much like a stock head.
