Some pics of a Juliano's kit I installed on our fiberglass 3 window...I used a 1/8" thick 2X4 sheet of hardboard from Home Depot...1/2" foam and the supplied base cloth and vinyl from the kit..Someone from the HAMB was kind enough to give the dimensions of a factory roof hole

    I love the look.
I am going to try it on my '33 sedan delivery project

Thank you....I know fiberglass cars are not everyone's cup of tea..But I think it adds a little more realism to the car

  4. When the time comes, I'm going to try the same thing, sheet hardboard and foam, in the insert on my Victoria project.

  5. How did you ‘tatch it to the roof?

Probably not the best thing. ...,.But I used gorilla glue construction adhesive. One side of the board had a finished side the other rough. Attached the cover to the smooth side .1/8” pop rivets to attach the aluminum track for the perimeter molding

I did one on a glass car . In order to make it more workable for gluing I drilled holes in the wood with my drill press [hundreds] before gluing. worked fine. Cars still around and the top still looks new. My only advice is to cut the trim long and force it in at the end because they all shrink over time.

  10. Looks outstanding Eric. Great work!
My coupe has an "insert" just like that.

The previous owner did a beautiful job installing mine. Very nice and original looking.

My 32 also has one like yours. I really wish now I would have bought a 33/34 5 window for myself. I added 15” radial tires to mine recently. The scrub radius issues with the wheel adapters up front made the car drive so poorly on the roads around here. I had to do something. Although not correct to the whole Milner thing at this point I don’t care anymore. I rather enjoy driving it than looking at it.

  12. I didn't even notice those details in the picture. I only saw two badass cars!

The real car never functioned properly in the movie.
Paul Le Mat hated it. You are enjoying your car.

That is all that matters. Both cars look great!
