we dont have a radio in the car but we have a portable radio to plug the ipod into and stick it on the seat. We have a pretty deep library of oldie songs pre 1965 and it is the only thing ever played in the car. makes driving that much more enjoyable.

For most,if they had a great time in high school, like I did=Will be the music of that time!!!
For me rock n roll 1956 to 1964/ before the english bugs screwed it all up!! High school was 60 to 62,then put my self through collage on my own dime. Happy Day's
Who's trying to BS about they didn't have radio's,by 1957 the little transistor radio's were cheap,by 60 every teen had one,Size of a pack of Camels an had a plug in ear bud;if you wished only you hear it/or ear it riding in a car,or on your pedal bike ect.
The music /rock n roll many times was even designed to sound great on our tiny tran/radios that all the teens had*; not much bass<tiny little speaker didn't make bass well, lot falsetto<an that was super fun to try an sing along with!!even if you could not sing. BS about can't hear it in car,we had plug in ear jack, came with the little radios=if ya wanted to hear, you could.
*= A little kind of like cell phones now.

The Cramps, Reverand Horton Heat, Gene Vincent, Dick Dale, Howling Wolf, Little Walter in my '55. My other cars pipes are to loud to enjoy any "music"

  27. Music makes moods for me. So it really depends. Love blues, Pink Floyd, Pantera, Rage Against the Machine, AC/DC, but have begun to really enjoy Rebelution, Iration, Stick Figure style when driving... mellow and keeps me from being too stupid (as if that's possible)! Some county, but it has to be old! None of the newer pop-country stuff.

Huge fan of each, Especially The Doors. Incredible band and music in a few short years. Throw in CCR, Steppenwolf and The Guess who on that list too. Maybe toss in a little Michelle Phillips and the rest of the Mamas and Poppas too.
