I do need and old truck or station wagon to haul it around! Nice artwork as always!

So we had a really unseasonably warm day Sunday November 1 so I took the car out for a good test drive with the new aluminum head. Got out on some open road and it pulled up to speed just about the same as with the cast head, at cruising speed it had a miss so I headed back home. Got it back in the shop and pulled the plugs, number 1 plug good, number 2 plug good, number 3 plug Electrode smashed flat. So come to find out the extended reach plugs I bought didn’t like the valves I indexed all the plugs so the electrode falls between the valves. Took it out for another drive and damn that sucker pulls hard for an old flathead six!

Oh hell yeah! The Edmonds head bumped the compression up. The motor at idle sounds the same but While driving It has a different tone. It definitely has more get up and go but the old 40 dodge pickup 3 speed shifted between my legs definitely limits how fast I can get up to speed and the frontend bounces at sixty due to out of round bias ply tires so I really didn’t gain a whole lot. It does get up to sixty quicker and it looks Kool as hell so it’s a win win.

Do a 30 to 50 run in third and time it. My 230 business coupe pulls it in just under 7 seconds.

My 19 year old son bought his first project. 63 Rambler classic 550 two door post. Good solid car that’s going to get a 327 /350 8 inch rear. Boy doesn’t know much about old cars so I’ll be the crew chief! Hahaha.

Could you post a link to his build thread so we can find it? Us old guys aren't too sharp on this compooper stuff.

Used heel risers in my sprint cars to get the right motion for the pedals.

Mine does it in 7 sec. Guess your lack of mass is a big help. That's pretty peppy! Thanks for putting that up.

re read your build over the weekend, did you just eye ball the dimensions for the seat or did you measure off of an original one? Awesome build with lots of neat engineering.

I just want to say what a beautiful build I love it. It was a pleasure reading and seeing all of the progress pics. I like these cars because my dad turned a old sprint car into a dragster way back In the day. Single seater cars are cool great work and craftsmanship . have fun driving it looks like fun.
