    Dan, it happened in 1971. Moroso did shear his wheel studs and his opponent (Harold Dunn) went on to win class (F/MP).

    I don't think so Gearhead, I think this is what happens when you break an axle and have a spool or old time locked rear. He made a right turn right out of the hole. Maybe the fronts where locked up and I think the left rear was spinning maybe throttle wide open. Thats why I took the spool out of my MG and put a posi unit in. I couldn't react quick enough to prevent this sort of thing happening.

    Dan I am not sure although I seem to have a small block Mopar rolling around in my head-maybe a Duster although I may be off base on that. I have a hard enough time remembering the Vettes to be honest.
