A year from now I hope to have it complete. Time will tell.

20190510_141148.jpg 20200922_170626.jpg The first year got me to the mock-up stage as pictured. Nothing really concrete. A few re-do pieces. Okay, a lot of re do pieces. But like 1971BB, all done in house (except machine work).

The intent was to be true to a late 50's early 60's traditional rod. It got a little blurry, but still happy with the results.

One year later (currently), converted from a rotten special coupe to a standard coupe, using three different cars for parts. Extensive body work to make the conversion, not recommended if it can be avoided. But in the end, it worked to my satisfaction. Even the gutters made from old barn door railing.

Over the course of that year it was like having a second full-time job. While the truck was out for final paint I also gave the garage a complete makeover. Looking back, it was a ton of work but it didn't really seem like it at the time.

  7. Another fine example of what can be accomplished in a year . Great looking truck Billy !

Body is back off frame and now on a rotisserie, the frame has now been powder coated and being reassembled. I've now finally got the paint formulas for the OEM 1946 2-tone paint scheme! I took the door cards over to trimmer to finish with seats. I'm on the home straight now!

LOL! My expectations were greatly overestimated. 3 years later, still not done but getting closer.

That frame looks thirsty, a shot of Gibbs may slake it.
