Cool. Should be able to sell off the stuff you don’t need to help with the project costs.

Have a direction you going in?

Cheap enough for sure. May not be much left by the time you strip it back . Cool project. Do you have a finished image in your head.?

What are the traditional parts on that T?
I don't see much, just curious. I see a fun car but not a traditional car or parts for that matter, at least as it relates to the HAMB.

Now for the big question; did it come with a valid title?

Before you take it apart get it running and roast the tires a few times!

  12. Clean it, chrome it, round out the headlights, get creative with the radiator and leave it be. A roll bar with mounted wing. It's got a BB, just add a blower and zoomies and it's done. Why fuck up an e-ticket ride for the sake of 'traditional'.

  17. Neat, dual carburetors on the big block. Right there is half of the value of the purchase price.

Great score! They’re asking $15K out here for a car like that with a title. I’d build a perch and put a transverse front spring on it instead of the coil-overs, clean up some stuff, maybe add some M/T, Moon or old Edelbrock valve covers. You can get it back to 1965 or so. You’ll need different wheels and tires though.

  19. The OT can be unbolted easily enough! Great score, what displacement is the big block? Engine is worth purchase price alone.

Better than a gasser, Tweety pie as in Roth style.

  23. Roth style from that car? Basically you've bought a title and registration and 3000.00 worth of flippable parts. Use the cash and start from scratch. Easier to start from scratch than alter that.

  24. Love the headlights...…

Looks like a good buy to me. Lots of bolt on parts that can be swapped to totally change the look of that car. Bet it’s a handful with that big block!

  28. Pretty sure that was a great deal and a good start for what you are thinking. I wouldn’t have had to think too long about buying it either at that price. Pretty easy to see past the stuff that dates it.

  29. Loose the head lights
    Put a grill in it
    Sell the wheels
    And the steering wheel

    Steelies
    A grill shell
    A more period correct wheel

And your driving in style for now
Everything else can be changed later
Don’t rush into ripping this thing apart until ya know what you want and are expecting out of it

Cool find and a great buy

Love these kinds of threads! They always start the same some guys saying flip it and start fresh, they always end the same guys saying wow!

Buying an ugly but complete car is a fantastic plan. Often you could not sit all the parts on the car next to each other for three times the price. Some day I’m buying an ugly 70/80’s 32 coupe for less than the cost of a body by itself and then taking it completely apart for parts just like this guys going to do with this T :)
