    Do they still put on the Cowtown Nationals? In a non-2020 kind of year? I have fond memories of those shows in the late 80's.

    I am not always a fan of Mr. Starbird's visions but that car has always been one of my favorites and actually turned me onto the Invicta body style in general. Great post on a great, iconic custom.

    I lived down the street from Starbird customs when the shop was by the RR tracks in the early 60's. Like a lot what came out of that shop, but I still have a bad taste in my mouth for Darryle claiming he built the Lil Coffin.

    How much of the car was metal work and how much was body filler? I remember seeing a 40 Ford that the owner claimed Starbird did the bondo was 2 inches thick. I miss Douglass of the 60s.
