Hello,

The afternoon setting sun does give off some rather powerful shadows in So Cal. The “spidery” praying mantis gives one the immediately turn around to see if it is not behind you. My old Long Beach Poly High School classmates, Bivens and Fisher “CHECKMATE” AA/FD patiently waiting its turn to fire up.

Just down the concrete parking lot, was Jack Rudy’s chopped full custom truck sitting in deeper sunlight. It was a great day for photos and shadows. Hot rods, fuel dragsters and customs... all create their own shadows...

One more to reflect on

 

The People Shadows are actually pretty darn interesting...which of course are Shadows of their former selves...I often think of this often as capturing a second of ones life which preserves ones youth and all else around...That moment and all we can see can be very dramatic even surreal...I'm thinking back to that pic you posted of that Flagman being captured in the air with his shadow projected...

Good stuff and Yeah the shadows can certainly remind one of other things ie... Batman and that 'Creature' which I actually know of......it does look like it...just before the sun goes down the shadows are way long and things can look 20 feet long...
