    Hola Gui!
Purely as a suggestion, the raised letters of the word "SEAGRAVE" on the heads, it would be easy to paint the raised letters in black. It would really make the name of the engine stand out in a very prominent fashion.
Too bad there isn't some cool chrome acorn nut covers to go over the bolts that secure the heads. But as it is right now, its very cool!
    Bravo Gui !

    Dennis.

Black letters over red engine. Cool.

Use Gold leaf instead of black if (when) you letter the fire truck engine.

All day work to organize the blue cloth wrapped 24 spark plugs wires!
But I think it’s worth the time.

  8. I'm not sure, but I think you've got a couple plug wires crossed between 3 and 10. Or maybe it's between 6 and 12.

I guess that means you'll have to start another wild build thread or we'll all go into withdraws. Can't say enough about how cool this build is. You definitely hit the 10 ring on this one. Congrats.

    Next build is just started!
But this time is a far more “usual” toy!
    A 1954 Chevrolet Pickup 3100!

Maybe I LL start another build thread.

    Hola Gui!
    Again, purely as a suggestion/request.
I would love to see the raised lettering of the word
" SEAGRAVE " on the cylinder heads, painted black, so that when the hood is raised to show off the engine, that distinct style of lettering would really standout and draw the eye to the name of the engine maker. It's a natural stark, artistic contrast of the black lettering against a lot of red around the word SEAGRAVE , which in my opinion is very appealing !

This is just fantastic! Everything is coming together perfectly. My only regret is that "Brooklands" is no longer open. If it were, I don't think that that 100 MPH speedometer is going to be enough (I base this on my experience with my 14,000 lb Seagrave pumper with the smaller 468 ci engine.)

As an aside, that engine didn't have "SEAGRAVE" cast into the heads. It did have a casting of "PA" inside an octagon on each head; I always liked that because it showed the pedigree of the engine.:)

I'm sure the next tread will be interesting and reflect your extreme skills, but, given the subject matter, could never equal this one.

The first page of this thread, clearly shows that the word
" SEAGRAVE " is cast into the heads of this 531 V-12 that Gui is working with.

    Reading is FUNdamental...

tubman was talking about the Seagrave engine that HE had in the past, and that he has mentioned numerous times in this thread as he has offered Gui his personal, firsthand experience on these engines.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled programming...

Heard tell we're back to our regularly scheduled program.

Well, then I just want to congratulate you, @Drmalacarne
Yours has been one of the most engaging builds that I can think of. And there have been some doozies. Dueseys? Deuceys?
Thanks for taking us along. I smiled every step of the way.
Now make me laugh my ass off. After you've shown us your beautiful creation completed, take it out and put her through her paces. And show us the video.
    Thanks again! :)
