Hot Rods My new Roadster

Ive finally found the perfect 1936 Ford to build and keep. Patience paid off. It has had a fairly recent high dollar restoration. I’m going to put in a 286” 8BA, 5-speed for power. Dropped axle, reverse eye springs for stance. Lincoln brakes to stop it. And 7.00-16 and 5.00-16 Excelsior Stahl tires for tire rake. Eventually I’ll chop the windshield and top.

Holy shiite is that nice, I’d give my eye teeth for that. MUCH MUCH MUCH nicer than my Tudor. Can’t wait to see it when your done. You have a horse shoe up your ass my friend, Mitch.

What a great car. These were about the end of the roadster era at Ford. I don't think they produced a lot in '36.

Ford produced 3862 Roadsters in 1936 and just shy of 5000 for 1935. So under 9,000 for 35-36 body style. Very rare indeed.

 

That is one nice car. Real head turner.

I’ve been struggling with that decision. The Columbia appears to be rebuilt, but it is missing all of the controls, only the axle is in the car. I have everything for the 5-speed swap and could sell the Columbia for a good bit of coin. I think I would enjoy driving it more with the 5-speed fully synchronized transmission.
