What is the make and approximate vintage of that ladder truck?

It's a 1958 Magirus Deutz. I'm not sure what model series it is. The only info to be had about them are in German.

  5. Deutz produces all kinds of air cooled engines. I've seen several varieties from 4 cylinder to a 6 cylinder turbo charged diesel. They were running portable engine powered hydraulic equipment like concrete pumps.

    Would you save this...?

  7. I think it would be worth saving if it wasn't rusted out too bad.

I was able to purchase the 4 door 63 Galaxie. Used some of the high option parts on my 2 door, stripped the rest of the parts and sold them. Below is a picture of the carcass. Sad to see until you understand that its parts went to keeping others on the road! 20201012_223948.jpg

Glad to see it pretty well stripped bare. If they can't be restored/aren't worth restoring, this is the next best thing for an old car. Would have been a shame for all of the good parts to be lost.

What is that one Moparboy440? Has kind of a Pop Anglia look to it but clearly is not that. Not sure I've seen one before.

It's a 1934 Opel 1,3 Liter. It is powered by a 1288cc flathead developed by General Motors in America. The mighty 4-banger is producing a whopping 24HP.
Can't be many left in the entire world. This is the first one i have ever seen.

Whenever I see one of these sedans posted by someone European, I always imagine it could just as well be a Latvian made V8 "Vairogs"... There's only like a handful of them known and restored.

  21. I would have shoveled the poop out  before getting it on the trailer. Anyhow i see two nice coupe projects and the red one allready has the 8BA

  22. The man got a car and free fertilizer for his garden!
Reminds me of a local ancient church attic with a bat issue. Must have been going on for years, deep piles under their roosting spots.

  27. This '28 Dodge Brothers truck is yard art in front of Elrod's Garden Center in Dallas GA. Some observations--I didn't know that Graham Brothers built bodies for Dodge, but there is a tag above the windshield that says body built by Graham Brothers. I knew that Dodge Brothers had hydraulic brakes in '28 but didn't know that they used electric fuel pumps back then--it has a 6V AC electric pump mounted on the firewall that appears to be factory.

  28. They didn't- that's a later addition. In '28, Dodge was still using the vacuum pump :D
