is it the same width as a 35-40 do the spring pad positions land perfect for 35-40 rails does it take 40 ford back plats and 39 wide 5 drums or is it super wide big truck? is it the pic, or does it have cyclic or hypoid pinion to crown wheel?
ah, so its as simple as finding out the frame rail differences at the rear betwen a 35-40 and 42 up pickup anyone know? i bet its 3'' wider oh and move the 'l' over and add leaves insted of leafs ffs
I have one, but I only used the center section in my '28. I have 35/36 bells on it, with '41 axles to fit the model A width.
Let me add, the frame on my '42 and my '48 I had (both long gone) I couldn't tell the difference in the frames, never put tape to anything, but I suspect they were the same, even used the same radiator support. I assume you're just concerned with the OA WMS to WMS? right?. as you'd probably want to relo the perches under the axle for proper ride height. The '42-up used 5 on 5.5 BP.
It's the same width as 42-48 Pass, around 1 7/8" wider than 35-41. The ends are the same, backing plate and hub wise.
I mixed and matched the open drive center using 37 housings and axles, for one of my current projects.
Yep....what they said....with the center section - you can swap out axles and bells to what you desire. Hubs will interchange with same axle's/bell's..
