   Any suggestion on using the door glass channel tape? do I need some adhesive, or maybe heat to make a good connection.

   I use layers of friction tape and cut excess with a razor blade.

   If you channels are old and rusty I would suggest you use adhesive instead of tape, if possible sandblast them ,then shoot a cot of black enamel on the channels. HRP
