I went to Hersheys about 30 years ago and was stunned. If a vendor specialized in something, holy shit did he specialize. Single vendors with a hundred fenders, another with dozen or more early Vette fuelie units. A guy with EVERY car keychain ever made. The food? Excellent! I got a polish dog with onions and peppers...no swap meet in California has that kind of food. We Westerners are spoiled in some way when it comes to cars and parts. But you Eastern guys REALLY know how to swapmeet. One day I'll go again..

I wouldn't even know how to act at a swap meet like that!

Swap meets here are bizarre, tables full of toasters and disassembled weed eaters is followed by a guy with a nos set of Mickey Thompson aluminum rods for a stroker 389 setup...I shit you not!

Mark, Thank you so much for posting the photos, along with everyone else, as great as they all are they will never be as good as BEING THERE. Last year was 50 Hershey swap meets in a row for me, feel like a big chunk got ripped out of my hart. I miss you guys and everyone else I only see once a year. It is far more than a pile of rusty car parts. Bob

Hershey is the highlight of your year isn't it Mark. I can relate to lots of those photos and they bring back some memories of great times being had. Once you've done Hershey any other swap meet is a ho-hum event. It is the king of swaps.

Man, do I miss it this year. I really needed it. I'm an elementary school principal and I'm ready to pull my hair out with all this COVID stuff.

My good buddy and I joked about going out and having a few beers and cigars in the parking lot just for old times sake. This year would have made my 40th Hershey and I'm only 49.

It's part of my DNA at this point.

It's @ 8:30, if we were there we would be sitting under the 10-20 canopy watching people walking over to the ice cream stand, or getting another coffee or something for a late on the field dinner. Old brass era cars would be driving around. Car corral tour was a Thursday night ritual, so there was a late walk over to something special you may have found during the day. Unaffordable, but good to look at. Lights are on all night long, but a flashlight makes inspection of uncovered stuff easier. Got to find some old show photos to add to the great ones others have posted. Bob

66 degrees and a perfect blue sky. Would have been a good day for a flyover.

I miss the sound of an aluminum beer can dragging on the pavement, that was tied to the back of a golf cart. Anyone that has been to Hershey will know exactly what I mean.

Friday morning we'd still be walking around thinking we overlooked something, or there would be a price drop on something we saw back on Tuesday. Five and one dollar piles tend to get mixed into one. time to start packing the leftovers. We have hit the road on Friday and missed the show. I like the Pre War stuff so two hours at the show and I've seen what I like. Hershey 2021 is going to be GREAT, hope to see you all there. Bob

We've had perfect flea market weather all week. And now it's going to rain like crazy for the Hershey Hangover tour.
