I'm putting a 302 with an AOD transmission in my 59 Fairlane. Anyone know what mounts or kits I would need? Any help or pointed in the right direction would be appreciated. Thank you. Sent from my SM-N975U using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Try Butch's Cool Stuff: https://butchscoolstuff.com/57-59-ford-original-v8-cars-mercury-sb-ford-engine-mount-kit-2507cpb/ There may be other ways to go using stock Ford parts. If so someone will chime in with the info.
If its the two plates with holes like the '57 Ford frame you can just use stock later mounts like these. https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Ford...ZCxA_ycrqaIZoPDXZN5hvu0iaYx2bMWsaAjydEALw_wcB Im sure you can get them from rockauto or your local parts store then you have to make a space between the mount and the block to make sit taller, as far as the rear transmission cross-member, you have to notch it, box it and put a plate in. So no need for other fancy kits.
These are over the counter Ford mounts with the part numbers and pictures,READ the notes under the pictures. https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/media/albums/289-302-351w-swap-mounts.41498/ Should run about $70 for all three mounts. What Abe posted above is the old Tech way guys did it that's why I told you to read the notes no plates or spacers will be needed. We have probably been through 100's of swaps in the 1952-59 Ford Social Group here on the H.A.M.B. since 2009 you may have more questions so join our Group.

Because you are using a "smart phone" with no smarts, that happens often here on the H.A.M.B. try it on a P.C. and it will come up. I guess us old guys and P.C."s are more "traditional"
