I was cleaning up and found these pictures, that are from some early computer communications with a guy from NZ or Australia if some one with knowledge looks at the license plate they may be able to tell.
I was in awe that I could type something on the screen and a reply would come back quickly and from on the other side of the earth. I think it is from around 1990 or so. I didn't know anything about computers then and I still don't, as is evidence of the way the photos are presented here. Maybe some of our Hamb buddies will recognize the coupe. It is unique in that the trunk/rumble lid seems to be welded in.

Hello Pat and everyone in the know
My brother and I were friends of Eddie Sanzo during his 1969-70's DynoTech race shop operation on Fresh Pond Road in Maspeth, Queens, NY. We completely lost touch decades ago, but it seems like only yesterday.. High on my bucket list is getting in touch with my old buddy Eddie again, any clues as to how to hook up with him? I'm so very happy I came across this forum, it's brought back some very wonderful memories!

JD unfortunately Eddie passed away a long time ago, along with Frank Cali, John Cali, Ray Kobel, Jack Merkel and Coney Island Ralph. Where are you from now? What is your name? You can send me a "start a conversation" and tell me if you don't want anyone else to see.

LB where did you find that one? I've never seen it, actually not that many photos of that car.

I miss seeing cool names on the side of race cars.

At least its part of our drag racing legacy. F1 and Nascar don't even have that.

The names on the sides seemed to fit the cars personalities. Most notable was the fuel altered "Panic".

I haven't searched, but if nobody has done a thread on clever race car names then maybe somebody needs to start one.

    I personally like "Pure Hell".

Frenchtown I'm partial to this one, (it has a SBC) it's been on the car since it was painted and lettered around 64. When brother Mike and I rebuilt the car in 2009 I went through great pains to get these details true too original. Photo was taken by Les Madus at the 1st HRR at NH. Bobby Lagana who I knew had passed away a short time before this.

That's my car! I took these photos in 1989 as I was looking over the car to buy it. It was a bit of a bitzer, '33 body, '35/36 handles, a mix of wheels sitting on a '35/36 chassis. I paid $8,900NZD for it which was about what you'd pay for a Camaro, Mustang in rough shape back then.
The trunk lid had been welded shut, I've sorted all that but still desperately looking for a latch, trunk handle & hinges.
Does anyone here have a few decent photos of the above they could share?

Here's the car as it sits presently . .

Glenn it is good that you recognized the photo's and better yet that it is your car. I don't remember why I got them as I did deal with Willys and had several and parts. I think I got the e-mail out of the Mid West Willys club magazine "Gasser Gossip" but other than that I don't remember much more. How long before the car is running.
