What an awesome car! I would love to see what the engine would have looked like! Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Vette belongs to someone I know. A mess when he got it. 354 Chrysler Hemi & Torqueflight. It runs hard. His COE is Olds powered.
Opps, suppose to go in the hotrod thread. I got the two threads crossed. Lol Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Hi Ratrod40428! My name is Amy and my father Dave DeBrecht was a friend of Russ Carley in 1968 while he was stationed in the Navy at Moffit Field. We have been searching for any info on Russ when we stumbled across this post! My father would love to chat with you about Russ and this car! He doesn't have any further info about the car's whereabouts like your requesting in this post, but would love to chat! His number is 314-295-8083
Hey Baro Hey Baron, looking good. I would have removed those air cleaners, I lost 30 HP with a larger air cleaner on the dyno, Jim
Good to know. First time on the track with the car and could not get it to hook up. Kept dropping the pressure in the slicks and when they hooked, my clutch didn't...lol. Other then the slicks, ran it just as I( do on the street, with closed exhaust and pump gas. Best run of the day was a 12.5 at 115 mph, with 2.065 60 ft time. Nice to hear from you, and hope all is well with you and your family. Thank you Jim.
Hi Baron, Sorry for the late response, but I just found you email and several others in my spam file. All were from Oct. 6&7th. Why? I have not a clue. I am guessing your traction problems are other than the slicks. But first I need to know about your car. 1. How old are your slicks and what brand and size ? 2. What kind of rear suspension do you have ? 3. What traction adders do you use ? Your MPH should have you running ETs of 11.70s. As you must know, that 60' time is awful. Jim
