    Not the shiniest. ;)

Being an inliner freak, I've always been fond of the stamped ridges concept behind Ma Chrysler's slant six rocker box, as they're reminiscent of rolled beads. But it irked me that they didn't run'em the whole length.

    So ...... I did.

  2. So, I still don't get what that means. Can you give a correct translation for us Southern rednecks?

I’ll bet welding all those fins took you a long time. My aluminum welding just isn’t that straight. And your copy of M/T is perfect.....

Cool idea...until you start up the engine and the inside of the valve cover gets slimed with oil:p

For all you Chevrolet fans, how about the only cover that said “Chevy”. Early 60’s ChevyII 4 cyl. upload_2020-10-2_20-24-15.jpeg

  14. Bunch of nice entries in this thread but this is the Secretariat of 'covers. No competition.

  19. Anyone recognize these sbc valve covers ?

They remind me of Pontiac with the breathers in the middle, guy has them listed as sbc, thought maybe they were newer items I was unfamiliar with.

Any way to find out if there are any numbers on the inside? They do look like Cal Custom Pontiac.

  22. Only photo shown, Pontiac has a bolt pattern like a Chevy ?

Edit : I just looked up some Pontiac 350 valve cover gaskets and they do have a Chevy looking bolt pattern, so I bet they are Pontiac

9CE21CFC-392D-45E4-B49D-CF0FAF9A35A5.jpeg Bought these from a really nice guy, they came off his 62’ Corvette. He told me they were a one or two year only design around the logo area?

Depending on condition and price, Cal Custom Pontiac covers are fairly desirable. s-l1600.jpg

This thread is great. I think your engine should look like a jewel, and a kick ass set of valve covers will help to get you there.
Just like the exterior of your ride the engine should look the part.
You can tell the big 3 new the public would respond to a visually stimulating engine as well by the beautiful designs they came up with. The valve cover decals are great as well.

Yep, rare covers, 62 only I've always heard, man, I'd like a set of those just for wallhangers just to show off that I have them.
    Those are crying for chrome!

The 62 covers did not have the arrows stamped on the ends of the rectangle for the stickers, as shown above. I have also seen them on 63's. Very hard to find. Wish I had a pair of those.
