Sorry but I think the 4 Lincoln hoods were better off before this guy found them.

...For Some reason I'm thinking of the Clay Smith Cams Iconic Mr. Horsepower...:D...but it would be nice being in the Wind Helmet Off just pushing 90 to 120...

  4. Stogy, that looks to be the logo for the "RoadRunners" club. Very well known club that ran the early lakes.
I believe they are still around and racing.

Thanks Mick for connecting those dots, I did notice the Roadrunner on the quarter and thought it ironic with the driver reminding me of the Clay Smith Woodpecker logo...

That is an incredible capture and interesting car number...no doubt a favorite amongst the racing crowd...

The Road Runners were a charter club of the SCTA – and are still around. I'm a member.

In the early days of the SCTA, you were usually assigned a number derived from your points position the previous year. That's why you see pictures of the same car with various numbers.

  13. 1932 Ford Padded Topped Custom… Digital Restyling study to see how a 1932 Ford Cabriolet would look like with some traditional Custom touches. Angled chopped windshield, padded top, raised rear fenders, skirted front fenders, smoothed hood sides with custom air louvers, lowered suspension, wide white wall tires, single bar flipper hubcaps, ’37 DeSoto bumpers… Something that could have been built in the mid/late 1930’s.[IMG]

...Baremetal or silver, rear wheelwells flush covered...interesting Carbs protruding...the filename mentions Lincoln so I suspect the engine may be same...Hudson Joe comes to my mind as I remember a similar Tracknosed Racer that this reminds of...

Further snooping clarify this to be Joe Buffardi's Hotrod...

    Hamber @hudsonjoe49 it is...
