Just found a 57 Lincoln Premier 2 door HT on Craigslist about 20 miles away from me. Looks to be worth saving, maybe customizing. Owner wants $2200 for it. Pink paint, 368 engine that turns over with the starter. All original. I have no involvement with this other than seeing the CL ad. Owner's name is Don, PH# 423 605 4545. On a side note, how do you transfer ads from another site such as CL to the HAMB?
Mark, I don't think so. It's posted in the Chattanooga CL September 29 in the auto parts section. It's in Etowah, TN about 20 miles from me
That is seriously computer illiterate! wow, congrats on being alive today, and not knowing that. Find someone, anyone, to show you how to do it. I could do it, if I knew what type of device you are using.. Desktop computer? Phone?
simply go to the address bar. then right click on it. that will highlight it. then go down to copy and click on it. then open the hamb thread and in your reply simply click in the reply box so you see the cursor, then right click and go to paste and click on it
Hello, Take a screen shot of the ad from your phone. Save it to your files and now, you have a copy of the ad to place anywhere. Ccopy and paste it to a Word Document, adjust the size and now place it on the HAMB. If you can, copy the ad and place it on your thread. Jnaki It is very easy. Use your phone for the screen shot or take a clear photo of the ad.
Not something I would build but it has some cool body lines . It has to be super rare . Hope someone buys it does a restoration that will preserve it some form for the future.
In my estimation that is a heck of a deal. I paid about the same for the Studebaker in my avatar, the motor was locked, the interior was totally rotted away, and I ultimately spent as much on repair panels as for the car. I hope someone picks it up and gets it back on the road. I'd much rather look at one like that than a Camaro or a Tri Five Chevy.
I would be dumb enough to just buy it and fix the brakes, fuel system, perhaps some wiring, and drive it around as is. I expect you could get a couple months of great tinkering out of this one! as long as you don't have any foolish dreams of making it into a nice car again.
I'd say for 2200 with a motor that will turn over and its complete I'd say its worth it. Agree it needs work but look at what some want for just a model A shell...
Bet it can be bought cheaper. 2200 means 2K, or 1500 if nobody bites soon. I love the lines, I'd love to have that 368, too.
A (pink and white)Diamond in the rough. Floors look a little rough, but the interior sure looks decent. I guess it's a trade off, hope someone saves it!
I had a big Lincoln like that way back in my early days when I was learning to shave with fingernail clippers. Note the huge motor and a carburetor the size of a teacup.
