Thanks, Paul...Don't know how I missed that, remember jumping right into the steering box rebuild. Good idea, 'up tight, outa sight and in the groove!'

Looks like it should work there,
it'll get a little strengthening and a hold down.
Need to devise some kind of mechanism for parking brake actuation, rods, levers and cables...
    pretty tight in there..

This may be a stupid question but why a two piece driveshaft?

Nothing to report, sorry to say.
I did buy a bunch of steel,
3/4" square tube and 18 gauge sheet for the floor and 20 gauge for the body.
Just a matter of making it happen.

  15. WOW!!! what a great build. I love seeing these types of builds on the HAMB. Keep the updates coming.

Time to post a little update.

trimmed the bun panels for a butt weld to the front panels.
Clamped the two sections together and tacked them every inch or so.
    First the driver side
    Then the passenger side

    that was the easy side
the passenger side will take multiple patches
first piece following the same process as the driver side
    trim the ragged rusty edge
using same paper pattern cut another patch piece
    shape to fit

    paper slowly becomes steel
still some massaging needed before trim and tack
    but it's getting close

I'm amazed at your skills! You make it look so easy. Did you sell your soul to get them or something? The build has been interesting to watch, and that's an understatement!
