Something came up for sale I've been waiting on so going to cut the merc loose. Was planning on hanging on to it through to next winter and spend some time in the sun with it. 49 merc convertible, true "CV" vin. Crate 350 & 700r4. Starts right up. Vintage air Top In decent shape. No tears or holes, frayed ends and dirt is about as bad as it is. Bows & top control arms are chromed. Shaved all over. Door handles, hood, trunk. Desoto grille that has been rechromed along with the bumper. New white walls. The Interior is complete, original but worn. Certainly presentable. Runs and drives down the road like it should. I have skirts and side trim for it No rust bubbles or anything on the body. Clean car. The bad: Someone attempted an installation of dummy Appletons and did a poor job. There are screw holes in the A pillar now on both sides. They can either be cleaned up and have the dummy spotlights installed in full, or closed up and painted over in a flat black to cover it up. Ram horns are missing from the convertible top, so it's an MFer to put up and down by yourself $30k obo. Austin Texas
