I recently replaced the 8' fluorescent bulbs with LED in my shop. Used the original fluorescent box to mount 8' LED strip.
Got them from Amazon, 8' ( I think 4000 lumens) for $20.00 ea when you buy 10. Made a big difference!

 

Just converted 6 8 footers and 14 4 footers this week. W o W Used the 5000 lumens Got 14 more 4 footers to go in the rest of the shop. What a difference.
