We have a 1955 235 in our 52 pickup have a 4 speed Saginaw . We are keeping the bench seat What shifter unit kit can we use? The kit from patricks is no longer available since they closed. Hurst doesn't make a kit for bench seat.

Hurst does but you may have to modify . CD3F1A37-829F-472A-8593-F9E6BBE55FC3.jpeg

What he said. The shifter will land almost under the seat. You have to run a bent handle like above.

I always thought using shifters with big bends in the handle to clear a seat were dumb looking. Is there anyway that you could remount the shifter and reposition the levers to make the shifter come out of the floor in a more natural position? Then you can use any type of shift handle you want.....including an original style handle if desired.
