Chop looks great. Major improvement in terms of the lines. Nice work.

You Washington guys! Right on the beam! Textbook chop, skirts included...
I bought my '46 Club Coupe for $12, (in 1961)but earned my licks on the previous one: 5-1/4" chop on my '36 3 window coupe!
Yours is certainly elegant in its new form. Chop is excellent, 'teardrop' form perfectly executed.
My '46 is long gone, but my friend Mark in Felton gifted me his rust free '47 Fordor.
No chop is planned...but I have a pair of skirts, so a mild custom with all the chrome is coming together...
Much like a rodder of 1952 would have done with the family car.

So cool F-head ! Your build is a duplication of a car that inspired my whole car thing as a young man. It showed up in my home town in the early 1960's. I had never seen a custom build that featured such radical sheet metal work. To be honest, I don't think that I had seen a chopped top in the flesh prior to that. Great work sir. Thumbs up to you !

You do all that work and then use cheap paint? Simply amazing.

The chop didn't cost an arm.
    (looks perfect)
The paint didn't cost a leg.
    (looks great)
I'm starting to sense a theme.
More $ for other things that you don't wanna skimp on... 6 strombergs, Cadillac sombreros, '55 Cadillac chrome breastesses...

Here’s a few more pics of the coupe project
As for the paint, like I said it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I’ve had really good luck with the stuff, I use hardener in it and it’s really quite durable, it doesn’t have to be expensive to be good FA7A1AE0-3259-4B2B-BA41-747A8E28F85F.png D83FE2A8-147C-479F-B1BF-1A113BC72AE7.png 84B7B945-AF24-424A-B97F-0A9E06F12EF5.png

What's not to like?!! You must use a quality gun to shoot your "cheap paint"!? Looks super!

That looks so good that I have to ask: Can we see pictures of the poorman's spray booth?
