Thanks. I used Lizard skin on the firewall. Everything I read on various forums (including here) all were positive. Under the seat and the floor panel behind the seat, I used Dynamat Dynaliner thermal barrier. That too had positive reviews. Time will tell. You can read about them here.

Got the rest of the parts set up in the spray booth yesterday. After cleaning them all one last time ( 3 times actually with wax and grease remover), Jay sprayed on a coat of epoxy sealer and a couple coats of color to base them. The owner of the shop came in today(Monday) and sprayed everything but the insides of the hood tops. He'll do those the end of the week. Should have the rest of the parts back by Thursday. The front seat is out being upholstered and as soon as we get the rear quarters buffed out, I'll be dropping the Rdstr off to have the rest of the interior done. All good. 20200920_112509.jpg 20200920_121921.jpg 20200920_133040.jpg

Thanks. Jay buffed out the right rear quarter this morning. Slowly, but surely it's getting done. No rushing at this point. 20200923_104442.jpg 20200923_104504.jpg

All that's left is the hood and decklid. We'll be able to finish those while the Rdstr out getting the rest of the interior installed ( the seats all done). Good day. And a huge thank you to Jay for his time and effort if buffing out the rest of these parts today. Rdstr 09 26 20.jpg

Bolted the trunk lid back on today. That finishes off back of the car. 120180524_1008728079552425_5443136868287092691_o.jpg

Picked up the seat last night, so now I'll be able to drive it to the upholstery shop. First time driving the car with the windshield on. Nice view and seat's nice and comfortable. Jay and me in the Rdstr 9 30 20.jpg 20200929_193121.jpg 20200930_091114.jpg

Thanks for all the positive feedback . This is the seventh Deuce I've built for myself over the years, and I knew exactly what I wanted this car to look like. I could not be any happier with the outcome. The car is out now having the interior done, and once back, the hood will go on and completely hide the blown327, and complete the look that I envisioned from the time I bought the windshield from another member here on the HAMB. Interior is just about finished. Clean, neat and simple. All that's left is to make up the carpets and put them in. 20201015_183129.jpg

  23. Beautiful build- highly detailed but not too glitzy.

How are the SW gauges working? They look awesome, but I've read the made-in-Mexico speedometers are less than reliable.

The gauges seem to work fine. I have not connected the speedometer up yet, so I can't give you any feedback on that.

Picked the car up tonight after having the interior finished. Should have the hood back by the end of the week. Nice to be at this stage of the build. Started this project Nov 2nd, 2016. Been a lot of work, a lot of fun and look forward to driving the wheels off it this coming year. Deuce Interior 10 20 20 a.jpg Deuce Interior 10 20 20 b.jpg

The only thing I don't like about your car is that it isn't sitting in my garage!

Made a cover for the battery, installed the rear carpet and lap belts. Cover will go out to be upholstered this week. Also picked up my hood from the paint shop this morning. Almost done. 20201021_181848.jpg 20201024_160745.jpg 20201024_135943.jpg

Interior is finished. Picked up the hood from the paint shop Sunday. Looking forward to putting it on the car once it's buffed out. The "final piece to the puzzle". Int 10 21 20 a.jpg 20201025_164655.jpg Hood final paint 1.jpg
