Hi I'm looking for some advice on how to correctly adjust my brakes up.

The backing plates are f250 with all new internals kindly supplied by Rich b on here. I'm running 45 fin buick drums.

I'd like to know the correct method to adjust/ set these up please.

    Thanks
    Arron

There are multiple threads on here discussing this in detail. That’s how I was able to get mine sorted out.

I've been searching most I've found have been Lincoln set ups.

The information you need is definitely on here. I’m running the same set up.[IMG][IMG][IMG]

I was taught to tighten the adjuster up until the drum won't turn by hand with the wheel and tire on it and then back it off 11 clicks in auto shop in 1962 but that was before self adjusting brakes were real common.

Still I'd say tighten it up until you can't turn the drum and then back it off until you have a slight drag is what I would do with self adjusting brakes. I did as many as 25 brake jobs a week in the early 70's on drum brakes and never had a comeback as far as the brakes being adjusted right went.

I think he’s looking for more set up information rather than basic drum brake adjustment info..... I could definitely be wrong though.
