I have a mercury flathead for sale. I can't remember if it was a 49, 50, or 51. Perhaps the experts here can tell me by the head markings. I bought it 5 years ago intending on putting it in my 32 roadster. I ended up using a 59AB instead since I didn't want to cut up a perfect genie firewall. It only has 40k original miles on it. It came out of an original pristine car that was turning street rod. I saw the car and the odometer. I believe the story. I was told it ran great when pulled. I have no way to very any of this.... so sold as is. Comes with everything you see....carb, air cleaner, generator, bell housing..... and engine stand if so desired. I have not had it apart. Been stored in a heated shop since I've had it. I had planned on saving it for another project, but I just don't see that happening right now. $2500 Located in Minneapolis. I can strap it to a pallet for those who would arrange shipping.
Still for sale.... Just did a compression check on it... 100 +/- 5 PSI on all 8. It has the 8CM, lower compression heads.... so the numbers seem correct.
