Projects 63 Olds project is underway!

My 63 Olds Dynamic 88 got dropped off last Monday. Between work, and my daily deciding it needed a new lower intake gasket, I didn't get to start on it until today. Anyway I snapped some brutally honest pictures, pulled the carb off and got it stripped down and soaking. I have a long way to go, but I'm stoked to see where it goes!

What are your plans with this car?

 

Not too bad to start with.

 

A lot of cutting, welding and por-15 lol.....
After I get the running gear and brakes all sorted and safe, my long term goal is mild 60s custom. Metal flake and some scallops that work with the body lines. shave the handles, lower it and get some proper wheels. The wheels and tires on it are in amazing shape, but they belong on a 72 chevelle at the cruise night at Sonic down the road.....

The guy I bought it from said they were 'speed holes"

 

The lighter something is the faster it can go, that’s my theory and I’m sticking to it!
