They appear to be about the same height as they would be on a car with a stock headlight bar. This car belongs to a Hamber but for the life of me I can't remember his name but this cars headlights are perfect in my opinion. HRP
Always your call...... But- I'de like to see tires on,sitting on ground, full lock to lock, then- with space limited, decide= higher/lower, etc......... And , id'e push them forward some.......
^^^What he said. Also Would love to see a side shot of the engine bay. Did you stretch the chassis to accommodate the Y block?
Headlight heights are done by some just for what they think looks good to them.< In too many of those case's they light the road poorly. But you'll never get them too admit there lights don't work well low down. In the real world the seal beam 7in. lights are design to view out front of car nicely,if center* is mounted up off the road, between 21in. min., up to 31in.+,can be a little higher on stock mounts. Hay if u don't drive at night,go for the cartoon look,if it's your thing,or even hide some new driving lights low also=those are designed for that. If I see real low lights,it's like a sign to me,that guy did zero engineering research.
It is a longer wheel base I believe 5". But used a stock Lenght 32 rails. The yblock and 3speed overdrive fit on a stock length but had some problems with room for master cly and clutch under the car. So need more room between fire wall and engine for 3 wilwood master clyinder 2 for brakes 1 for clutch. Also moved the radiator forward so I could lowered in the frame rails. I know I could buy a shorter radiator and grill but had this one and on stock locations it sat way to high. Car is setting at ride hight tires will be 26.5" tall on frount
Real nice work, loving the Ford Y-block also! I been using a Y a long time, got my first build running in 1959.
