Out for a short drive to our Granddaughter’s house to give her a “distancing present” for her 15th birthday. It was a bright sunny day and the sight of a Yellow and White 1955 Chevy 2 door sedan made things brighter. (We did not see it at first, but the owner may be losing something of value in the trunk area.) The classic Cal Rake from the late 50s and early 60s just made the day. If the yellow part was black, this 2 door post Chevy would be a carbon copy of my friend’s high school daily driver and cruiser.

What looks good from the back, also looks good from the front angle of the Cal Rake stance. It is a pure late 50s and early 60s cruising style from So Cal.
And, it did appear as we drove by at the speed limit.

Following behind a couple of friends during and afternoon cruise in my 56.

 

Short local cruise with no particular destination...get 'em out and drive 'em…!!!
