Cool thread! I like seeing restored work trucks that still have the old running gear and motor in use. It's not the same when they get upgraded or hot-rod'd.

Our family business has two sides, on that began in 1858, and the other in 1882, and I've always wanted to restore a panel or flat-bed freight truck, either a 1932 for a "50th anniversary" tribute or a 1958 for a "100th anniversary" tribute.

In the mean-time, we're restoring my dad's 53' F-100 to be a vintage work truck. He was friends with the first owner who did road work in southern Arizona and ranching, then my dad bought it and used it hard for many years. This is it's second restoration, and I think it's had three or four engines in it over the years. No telling how many 100,000 miles it's clocked.

My Dad in the 1940's with his truck when he worked at a Family Furniture store his Uncle started. A couple years ago I built a similar COE toy model with the Family logo.
