No phone number, no contact information, I suppose mental telepathy is the preferred type of communication. HRP
I guess you could try that Mr. Primer, but it might work better to hit the little reply button on the top left and send an email.
i look at craigs list a lot, but seldom reply to any ad that does not have a phone #, and many of them dont.
That’s kind of the point of using the reply through craigslist email. So you don’t have to display anymore info than you have to. Hackers getting your phone number can be as good as getting a social security number. I’m talking smart phones of course, where people do their banking, buying etc.
mr wrayman, there is no doubt in my mind, you are correct. however, i am old school, dont text, probably have lots of questions, so i want to talk on the phone to a human like we used to. no smart phone here. now, sorry to get sideways from the original post, but we are here, so i have a story, perhaps you can enlighten me. so...recently i was shopping for a used dump trailer. one ad, had a cheap price, too cheap really (that should always be your first clue), and a phone #, so i called em up. i get a machine voice, "hello, you have reached google voice, please hold while we contact your party". well, i waited, nothing happened, no voicemail beep, nothing, so i hung up. now i had never heard of google voice, so i googled it up. google voice came out in 2011, and the google site just tells you how much it will improve your life, bla bla bla. so, i then added the word "scam' into the search. there, it taught me how most folks use it to cheat on they're wife and hide the girl friends # from the call log. so, then i added "craigs list" to the search, now reading "google voice craigs list scams". so, most of these scams are that a crooked buyer tries to con the seller into giving out his google voice code so he can call them up on the phone. i guess some folks are dumb enough to do that, then the guy has your code to your account to call home to nigeria for moms birthday. question here, now in my case, i spoke to no one, i was the potential buyer, but my phone # must show up in his call log, so what are the bad guys going to get from me? the world is a corrupt place these days.
I’m not sure what is going on with the phone # scam. I was told that they can take over your number by changing the service provider. Thus gaining access to your email account etc. Sounds pretty complicated to me but I try not to take chances if I can help it. I bought a cheap tracphone to do my dealings on the net. Yes the world is a different place for sure.
