Gave it hell until midnight Wednesday after work to get it fired up. Water pump is leaking from weep hole (probably from sitting for 2years & carbs not working so great. No oil leaks & good oil pressure though. Picked up 3 carb kits yesterday & ordered a reman water pump.

  5. Looks like you are running progressive.? Any air getting by the throttle plates in the secondaries at idle? They can be trying at times to get closed. Dickster sells the GM dope that was used on the tri powers back in the day. I used it on my 348 and it worked quite well fwiw.
Looking good. Like those wire looms.

Yeah, I’m running progressive linkage on 3 ford 94 carbs. The secondary carbs have no power valves or idle circuits & the butterflies have been made to seal tite with DAG or equivalent. I had them running great on my 303, only ran ethanol free fuel through them & drained before storing. These old carbs are definitely stressing me out.....

Went through the carbs. They didn’t need it. I found a few rockers hitting the valve covers; thicker gaskets resolved that problem. Finished breaking in the camshaft & got a test drive in only running center carb. All went great.
Going to redo my fuel lines & hook up secondaries.

Thanks man, drove her 20 miles last night to a local cruise night. 2/3 of the spectators glanced & walked by. A few had interest & only one person knew what the motor was......Lmao... it was great to drive it & get out!

‘56 #10 heads have larger intake ports & are supposed to flow better than the earlier ones. IMG_1351.JPG

Killer ride! I’ve seen it here before. Aaron is probably the only tv/celeb car guy that I would like to meet!

  24. Great thread. Nice car. It will be a good fall for you, driving around with the fam. Throw in a good heater and keep going! (I’m on the NH/MA border. My industry was shut down. Been a great summer for cruising around, lots of time with the kids. Time to tinker. Silver linings I guess)

Your sedan is cool. Really dig the Olds. I run an early Cad mill. Some ask me if it's a V6! Great car with lots of character. Enjoyed following your build. Keep it up!
